Privacy policy

Last updated August 2026. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the Course, we do not sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it.

01 Who we are

The Art of O (the “Course”) is operated by Jackson Hightower (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to all visitors and purchasers, in the United States and worldwide.

02 Information we collect

We collect the minimum needed to operate the Course. When you sign in, we store your email address to create and manage your account. When you purchase, your name and email are sent to our payment processor, Stripe, which handles your card and transaction — we never see or store your full card number. We record entitlements (the email linked to your purchase), your module progress and position, and the email associated with your purchase. To protect the Course and prevent sharing, we log the IP address used to request a video, along with your user and the module viewed. Basic analytics and server logs may also collect IP address, browser type, and access time.

03 How we use your information

We use your information to: provide and personalize access to the Course; verify your entitlement; save and restore your viewing progress; send transactional messages such as login links and purchase confirmations; prevent unauthorized access, sharing, and fraud; and, where you have purchased, send you occasional product-related communications, which you can stop at any time. We do not sell your personal information.

04 Email and marketing

Buyers’ email addresses may be added to our email platform so we can send product-related updates and offers. You can unsubscribe from those messages using the link in any email or by contacting support. Login links and purchase confirmations are service messages and are not marketing; you cannot opt out of them while you hold an account.

05 Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive your name, email, and transaction details (such as amount and status) from Stripe, but we do not receive or store your full card number. Refunds, where applicable, are governed by our Terms — note that our Terms state all sales are final with no refunds.

06 Data retention

We keep your account and entitlement records for as long as needed to provide the Course and honor lifetime access. Progress and access logs are retained for as long as reasonably needed for fraud prevention and service operation. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support, subject to records we are required to keep for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

07 Sharing of your information

We share information only as needed to operate the Course and as described here. This includes our payment processor (Stripe), email platform (MailerLite), hosting and storage providers, and any service used to detect fraud or abuse. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or to respond to a legal process. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

08 International transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. If you are outside the United States, you acknowledge that your information is transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws. We use providers that offer appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

09 Your rights — US residents

If you are a resident of a U.S. state with a consumer privacy law (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, Virginia’s VCDPA, Colorado’s CPA, Connecticut’s CTDPA, or Utah’s UCPA), you may have the right to: know what personal information we collect; request deletion; correct inaccurate information; opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; and limit the use of sensitive personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, certain of these rights apply only in limited ways. To exercise any right, contact support using the contact details below. We will verify your identity before responding.

10 Your rights — global (EU/UK and other jurisdictions)

If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with comprehensive privacy law (such as the GDPR or UK GDPR), you may have rights to: access your personal data; rectify inaccurate data; erase your data; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent where processing relied on it. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Where processing is based on our legitimate interests (such as providing the Course and preventing fraud), those interests are described in this policy. To exercise any right, contact support below.

11 Children

The Course is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, contact support and we will delete it.

12 Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encrypted video delivery. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Video content is served via time-limited, authenticated links and is not downloadable by you.

13 Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to make the Course function. We do not use advertising cookies. Analytics, if used, may employ cookies to understand usage; you can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in or accessing the Course.

14 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version posted here is current, and we will update the “last updated” date below when we make changes. Continued use of the Course after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

15 Contact

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to the support contact listed in the footer of this site. We will respond to legitimate requests as required by applicable law.
